Helen D'Ascoli

"I am a Forest School teacher and a mentor in the outdoors.
My passion for woods began as a child free roaming in the hills and wooded valleys of Shropshire. I took my first group of children to Epping Forest in 1985 when I was a play leader in London and have been involved in working, living and teaching in woodlands ever since.
I deepen my own connection with the natural world by holding ceremonies, with friends and in the community where I live with my family, and by helping to run the village allotment.
I am a co-author of The Children’s Forest, a treasury of stories, songs, ceremonies and activities to
do in the woodland."
