Youth Nature Mentor
"Mark has always been involved in the outdoors having been a keen member of the scouting movement from the age of eight to sixteen and has since qualified as a Bushcraft instructor.
After achieving a degree in Psychology and Biology he worked as a special educational needs assistant at a number of schools and gained experience in effectively engaging with children with learning and behavioural difficulties.
Mark currently runs a weekly children’s sword fighting club, is on the management committee of Sacred Earth Community Benefits Society, works as a specialist mentor for degree students with Autism, supports people with learning disabilities into work as a job coach and is also currently designing a computer game and a board game.
One of Marks aims in life is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by helping them to realise their potential.
Mark brings his daughter and nephew to monthly mentoring and is delighted to be part of the Cultivating Curiosity team."
