Monthly Mentoring
We are offering heart opening, connective experiences in nature over time with regularity and longevity throughout the formative years of childhood and beyond.
This programme offers the opportunity for children to participate in woodland programmes one weekend day each month. There are younger groups that do half days (3-6 yr olds) and older groups that do full days (7-13 yr olds). Some groups also have a teen group with a young mentors track for those really passionate about bushcraft and nature connection who want to become mentors for younger children when they are ready.
This project started in Sussex in 2012 where we now have three different groups running on different days and are supporting other organisations to launch monthly nature mentoring in their regions.

These groups of children gather one weekend day each month meet for nature adventures. We explore how the landscape changes throughout the seasons and what is funnest to play with, check out and investigate at this time of year.
We have had a lot of fun clambering up on hay bales, floating our rafts down little streams, developing our balancing on trees and logs, lighting fires, hearing stories, playing games, sneaking and hiding and carving different projects from making wooden necklaces to carving spatulas and spoons and even starting longer projects such as making a bow.
